In this collection of three stories, an emotionally abused
wife finds comfort in the arms of her brother-in-law, a young
dancer undertakes an erotic and redemptive pilgrimage to Rome
involving live sex shows and nude photography, and a femme
fatale looks into a mirror as she recalls a sadomasochistic
love affair...
Try
imagining an erotic version of Alfred Hitchcock Presents,
and you'll have some idea of what this DVD series is like.
Only less well made. Producer Tinto Brass has little direct
involvement with these short films, apart from introducing
each one while puffing away characteristically on a cigar,
and making the occasional cameo appearance.
Though
the productions claim to have been directed in the "Tinto
Brass style", there is scant evidence of it here. Only in
A Magic Mirror is there any hint of Brass's eccentricity,
in the grotesque character of a brusque layabout husband (Ronaldo
Ravello), who spends much of his screen time lounging around
in a bath, like the captain of the B-Ark in The Hitchhiker's
Guide to the Galaxy. But, although this tale displays
the most humour in the entire collection, it also shows off
the least amount of bare flesh, which is surely another important
ingredient that the audience will be expecting.
Things
get sexier in Julia, the story from which this collection
takes its name, which includes some particularly explicit
and highly charged sex scenes. Unfortunately, the plot is
almost totally incomprehensible - something to do with a dancer
(Anna Biella) going to Rome, but wildly at odds with the description
on the back of the sleeve, which mentions a photographer's
three beautiful models. I counted two of them at the most.
This production is also blighted by amateurish editing, which
leaves several gaping holes in the soundtrack. Oh well, at
least this DVD is subtitled, which spares us from woeful English
dubbing of the type recently heard on Brass's Private.
The
final tale, I Am the Way You Want Me, is a very weird
and nasty little minx. In it, a naked woman (Fiorella Rubino)
sprawls around in her bathroom, mouthing various strange utterances
to camera, and doing erotic things to herself, such as shaving
with a fearsome-looking cutthroat razor (shudder). And that's
about it.
A
further disappointment is the lack of any extra features.
So, all in all, this DVD has left me feeling rather brassed
off!

Botw Update 160 Portable -
runs at a resolution of . The 1.6.0 update introduced a "CPU Boost" mode during loading screens, which drastically improved the handheld experience:
“Running off an SSD via USB-C – smooth 60fps in most areas.” “Finally, a version that doesn’t litter my Windows user folder.”
Unlike native hardware capped at 30 FPS, portable PC handhelds can utilize the 1.6.0 game logic to safely run at unlocked framerates without breaking the game's physics engines. How to Verify and Download the Update Safely botw update 160 portable
: Loading times drop by up to 50%. A typical 26-second fast-travel screen drops down to roughly 14 seconds.
A used Wii U with the GamePad often costs less than a pair of Joy-Con. Update 1.6.0 makes that hardware viable for a full 100+ hour adventure in bed, on a commute (with a car adapter), or during a power outage. runs at a resolution of
: Offers slightly better texture filtering and further draw distances for ground details, but is more prone to minor stuttering in "busy" areas like Korok Forest. Enhancements for Future Hardware
Using the latest updates (such as v1.6.0 or the newer v1.9.0 released in 2026) is necessary to unlock higher-performance graphics packs and stable frame rates on handheld devices. 3. The Next Generation: Switch 2 Upgrades A typical 26-second fast-travel screen drops down to
By ensuring that your setup uses an explicitly isolated profile folder (such as a local portable.txt flag or an isolated mlc01 subdirectory), all system calls, update assets, and shader caches stay inside the hardware path. This allows you to transfer the entire directory seamlessly between devices. Optimization Settings for Handheld and Portable Play
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (BotW) recently received a major update—its first in over six years—marking the launch of the Switch 2 Edition
On the original Switch, BotW often struggled with "resolution scaling," making the image look blurry during high-intensity moments. Version 1.6.0 on the Switch 2 uses and better hardware to keep the image crisp even when there are multiple enemies or explosions on screen. Visual Fidelity
Nintendo implemented a system-level feature that allows the Switch's CPU to "overclock" slightly during loading screens. According to technical tests from Digital Foundry , this resulted in: Faster Fast Travel: Loading times were slashed by up to 30–40% in some areas. Snappier Shrines:
